I got APPROVED!!!!

I am beside myself with JOY!!! I found out today that I have been approved for surgery! I will have a VSG on May 5th! Cinco de Mayo! Awesome! I go for my "education" day and blood work on the 23rd. I get to learn all the fun stuff as far as my pre-op diet (10 day strict diet with the last 4 days being a liquid diet), my post-op diet, and what to expect before/during/after surgery. I am sure what I here will be similar to what I have already learned through research and my good friends here. They said I will leave with a reference notebook... which will come in handy after surgery. Of course, they say "Call anytime you have questions." Man, oh MAN! I am super pumped! Can't wait to get this ball rolling!

Congrats!! I just got approved as well and have one more class to complete before I get my date so I'm not far behind you! Feel free to add me, would be nice to have someone to "compare notes" with and ask questions who is close to the same stage as I am :)

I know you are anxiously awaiting your date too! It was so awesome to get that phone call. Now, the count down seems so much more manageable!
