hello I just had my sleeve done 10 days ago and I'm still on liquid phase wanted to ask if any buddy has had this feeling when you drink liquids it feels like it in back of my throat doesn't matter what I drink our how small of sips I take even if it's just ice it feels like that I'm still learning my new stomach just trying to figure out if this is normal oh I don't feel sick our nausous

Yep, I have the same feeling.  Had my sleeve on March 30.  What I do is get up and walk 3-4 times a day for at least 30 minutes.  The feeling goes away except at bedtime.  I have to sleep upright to make the feeling go away.

sounds Ike excess acid. Are you taking anything like Prilosec or Nexium?

They have me on protonix  40mg once daily

I'm 9 days post op and don't feel that at all. In fact, I am having no problems drinking now - even pretty big "sips". If I do take too big of a sip I get a little stomach cramp that just lasts for a second and then it is gone.

 



5' 4" tall, HW: 242, SW:215.4 Weight Loss - pre-op: - 26.6, M1: -15.4, M2: -16, M3: -11.4, M4: -11.2, M5: -12.2, M6: -7.4, M7: -7.8, M8: -2.0 Goal of 130 lbs. reached at 8 months, 2 days post-op!
