Question about medication
Hi all - noticed something odd, and am wondering if any of you have had the same experience.
When taking over-the-counter medication, such as DayQuil, the "effective" time seems to be about half. For example, if the dosage is 2 pills every 4 hours, my symptoms are back in about 2 hours. The same is true for sleep medicines, like Tylenol PM. Instead of 8 hours asleep, I am up in 4.
Do our much-smaller tummies simply process the meds faster? Has anyone else noticed this?
I definitely haven't noticed this to be the case with those medications.

It might be worth asking your surgeon about, but my understanding is that most medicines are processed in our intestines, not our stomachs, and our intestines haven't changed with VSG.
