Nothing tastes as good as FIT feels!

blah on skinny!  Feeling fit is amazing.  Especially after a great workout of some kind where you can really enjoy your body and what it can do!

I was a division 3 high performing multi sport collegiate athlete, but I have never felt the strength my body could really have until I shed this weight.   Even at my top performance in college I was 30 - 40 lbs heavier.   You can be overweight and strong / relatively fit, but omg once that weight is gone your body is so much freer!

I hope everyone here gets to experience this.

I still ill struggle everyday with my food addiction. But I just need to remember how good it feels to be strong and really harness my body's power!  Now that I know what this feels like, I can't imagine losing it.

Random happy post post after an amazing hockey game last night.  We got crushed, but I was flying on the ice :)

I totally agree! It is amazing realizing what our bodies can do when they no longer have to lug around so much extra weight. Exercise isn't so much a chore as an amazing privilege. Every day I think "I GET to run! I GET to move! I am so lucky!" I sprinted the other day and it was so thrilling; it's FUN to run fast.

I always enjoy your posts.  I'm happy for you.

Back when I was struggling with my weight, I used to walk every morning and it took be roughly 50-55 minutes to walk 2 miles.  I did 3.4 miles today in 55 minutes (walking).  It feels great.  Also, as it turns out, I found this morning when I was drying off after my shower I have hip bones.....never saw those before.....found my ribs a couple months back.....very weird :)

Oh yes I like exercise & the feeling of being strong, although this week totally wimped out on exercise, had a really long workweek. In fact I need to go back to working out with weights on a regular basis cuz I'm feeling way too wimpy, was so concentrated on cardio, weights fell behind. Still getting that balance right. Kudos to you!

Fitness and health, not appearance, should be on top of every VSG patients' lists. Looking good is nice; feeling good is better.
