HELP!! On a 3 month STALL!!!

Most folks eat between 600 - 800 calories during the loss stage, then bump up to ~1200 for maintenance. Sounds like you may need to scale back a bit.

Eating 1700 + calories a day caused me to gain enough weight for WLS. You need to be 800-900.

May I ask why you upped your calories after 8 months? I am 7 months out and am losing slower. I have learned to stay off the scale. I am still at 800 calories, sometimes less, but do you think upping to 1000 calories will give the metabolism a jolt? I have learned a huge lesson. NO PROTEIN BARS. They don't fill me up like dense protein does and make me crave carbs. I have not cheated with carbs and do not plan to, but one day I did cheat with more protein bars because of hunger. It was not pretty.
Sure you can ask a question..
To be honest with you I did not realize that my calorie intake was more???.. I only on occasion would notice that I was able to eat more.. and sometimes I did...It was happening and I did not realize it was.. And I talked on the phone to my NUT Dr. and she stated that at this stage they want us to be eating more food, because I was concerned that the scales weren't dropping...
I will know in a few days now since I am back on the 800-900 calorie intake a day..
I have to be more careful with my portion sizes...
Thank you Cappy11448...what did you change at 6 months out that kept you losing weight? Did you still loose at 1000 calories per day?
I will not be eating any baked potato's now... (I have completely from the beginning cut out Bread, rice,pasta)... I eat veggies which do have carbs in them, but try to stick with the greener side of things...
Thank you.. for your help...any more suggestions would be greatly appreciated...
If your weight has been stable for three konths, you are in maintenance. If you want to lose more, you need to cut your calories. Easier said than done, I know, but it's the only answer.

Grim is in maintenance--his diet will be totally different than what you need to eat. 1200 calories a day is maintenance. If you want to lose you should be 600-800 calories a day. Give up the potatoes too.
Do you track your food using an app like My Fitness Pal? You might be eating more calories than you think. It sounds like you've put yourself into maintenance. I'm a newbie & I know when I first started, I was close to your weight & age & I've had to readjust my numbers as I worked my way down.

I just started using the app. again.. My fitness Pal.. it says I need to eat 1700 cal. a day to stay in the lines of 2 pound loss per week???
sounds like a whole lot..
Any tips you could give me would be awesome...
What do you eat every day maybe would help me...
How many calories am I too eat now 8 months out, and how much protein at one time, etc...
Thank you for asking.. Great job by the way!!
