Is fatigue normal?
Im a month and three days post sleeve surgery. I recently started noticing that I lack energy and I am very fatigued and starting to be bedridden most of the day. I don't feel like driving, cleaning, or even talking to anyone. I am on the purée stage but I don't know how much protein I take in on a daily basis. I'm gonna try the powdered protein mix and see if I am able to keep it down. I don't eat much, and I do get as much fluids as I should because I still get the painful esophageal spasms. I take my vitamins daily. Is this fatigue normal? Did you guys experience this?
Fatigue is normal. But part of this could be from depression. If this is possible, you should talk to someone about it.

I'm so sorry to hear you are struggling. The first month or two post surgery are challenging for everyone, but I think your situation is more challenging than most.
I was tired for months, but I was only bed-ridden for a few days. Not wanting to talk to anyone can be a symptom of depression. I'd suggest talking to your doctor or NP and perhaps seeking out a counselor. You need to take good care of yourself.
Please know it does get better.

I wasn't feeling fatigue at a month post surgery. It could be that you're not getting enough protein, combined with some depression.

If you don't know how much protein you're getting, then start logging. Myfitnesspal is a great site and many folks use it; enter everything you eat, and it will tell you how much protein you've had.

It sounds like signs of dehydration. Perhaps a different temperature of fluids will help the spasms if you've not experimented with that yet.
Fatigue is normal for up to 6 weeks, but dehydration hits us hard and fast. I recommend calling your surgeon about the spasms. That doesn't sound normal to me.

no this is not normal. You are essentially starving to death. You need to see your surgeon ASAp or you are going to be in possible deadly situation.
