Welp. I just scared the cr@p out of myself.
A friend had surgery two years before me. She had no insurance and had mortgaged her home to pay for it. She was looking and feeling wonderful.
After I had surgery my friend started gaining. As I got smaller and smaller, she got bigger and bigger.
Everybody told me that my surgery would not work because hers did not. I realized that the surgery would not work unless I follow the food and exercise plan.
If you have surgery and expect it to do the work of losing weight for you, then you will probably not be disappointed. Initially you will lose weight. If you don't learn a new way of eating then you will gain the weight back.
I stay scared.
Real life begins where your comfort zone ends
Both of my parents had RNY years ago. Both have failed their surgeries by not changing their eating habits. I see it first-hand and know what NOT to do. You must follow the plan to be successful long term. Good luck. xoxo
