I don't understand this at all....
Pre Vert Sleeve, I workout, run light weights etc, I lose weight. Now I workout I stay the same.
Pre Vert Sleeve, I diet, try to keep my calories down, I lose weight, I haven't had a 1000 cal day in 5 weeks and still my weightloss is slowed way down and sometimes doesn't move at all.
Its completely baffling. I would think at me eating 500-750 cals a day would force my body to just drop weight. I walk about a mile a day, could do more but hasn't had the effect I want which is for the scale to drop.
293.8 this morning which is a new number for me, but don't want .2 or .4 weightloss, want the 1+lb daily.

In my experience I stop weighing myself, literally or I would go crazy. It seems like at times after surgery, even 8 year out, that my scale doesn't move or in the wrong direction. What I usually do is reevaluate what I am really eating (track and weigh everything) for two days, and if everything is all good I give myself two weeks off the scale (I actually tell my husband to hide it). This way I continue to focus on being healthy without the mind games of the scale.

I just looked at your surgery date....surely you've read about the 3-week stall, right? If not, go ahead and search for it and you'll get a jillion hits. You're there, buddy.
And I'm going to cut-and-paste a little gem I just posted yesterday on exercise to somebody else. Because I'm lazy...and I don't want to type it again...but you need to read it and remember it, Jack ;-)
"You are confused about the benefits of exercise. Exercise is not about losing weight on the scale because exercise in itself will usually cause you to gain muscle and retain water, which means the scale will go up. So as long as you equate exercise with the scale moving down you will be eternally frustrated.
Exercise is about increasing your heart-lung health, which has nothing to do with the scale. It's also about increasing your muscle mass so you burn more calories when you are sitting still. That's why exercise is so vital to long-term weight maintenance...you want the most muscle mass and leanest body possible when you hit maintenance so it will be easier to stay there!
Exercise for health, not for weight loss. And remember that it's much more important to lose FAT rather than to just lose WEIGHT. The scale is the worst indicator of actual fat loss. Your clothes are a better measure of that."
Jack, my friend, you are focusing on the wrong things (the scale, calories, weight) and have totally unrealistic expectations (1 lb. a loss per day?!? Maybe for an average the first month).
Unless you are willing to focus on the correct things and let go of unrealistic expectations, this is going to be an extremely frustrating process for you.
At some point things slow down and you don't drop every day. it's not realistic. Keep a small notebook and write down your loss one day a week. I chose Mondays. There were some weeks where I was convinced I hadn't lost and when I went to write it in the book realized that from the Monday before I was down. Now, here's the easier said than done advice = Don't let the scale make you crazy. When I learn how to do this, I'll let you know. ;)

One pound a DAY? Time to scale your expectations WAY back. You may lose that much in the first week or two post-op, but not afterwards. Once your body adjusts to surgery, you'll most likely lose a pound or two per week.

One pound a day?! Yikes. You have super unrealistic expectations. You're destined to always feel like a failure if that's what you think you should be losing.
Stick to your plan and you'll reach your goal. The more you lose, the slower the weight will come off. Keep working at it and celebrate the small successes.

It is impossible to put a time line on weight loss. Everyone's body is different.
I'll say it again. This is a marathon, not a sprint. You didn't gain weight overnight and you're not going to lose a pound a day indefinitely. It's not realistic. Weight loss tends to go in a stair step direction. All you can do is follow your program and not sweat the momentary stalls. Otherwise you'll drive yourself insane and be disappointed.
Relax, dude. You're doing great. Ride the wave and enjoy the process.
