Am i losing too slow (july sleever
I had my sleeve in july and today its been 8 months exactly. I have developed pretty good exercising habits and except for a few bad days where I spin back uncontrollably, i am able to really acquire healthy and mindful eating habits and hope to have them for a lifetime. My only concern is comparing myself to other july sleevers or other sleevers in general. i stay off the scale for a whole month but i am starting to realize that too may have been bad. I measure, log and control my food and sometimes graze and regret. My starting weight was also my surgery weight and I have only lost (even though it not a small amount of weight loss) 80+ pounds in these 8 months. People who see me really give me amazing responses and i look so much better than my before i simply cannot believe the change. My only problem is my mind telling me i won't be able to reach my goal by one year mark like my doctor said or even later. I am extremely scared. I am exercising really well: weight training and aerobics with running and what not. Even food is not an issue. I just feel the weight i now want to come off is one i put on when i was still a child. I feel like my body is comfortable at this weight and it wont come down. losing only 4 pounds in this whole eighth month didn't help either lol. PLEASE TELL ME I WILL BE ABLE TO DO IT. Someone please tell me!

Im 1 1/2 month out and most months I lose 5 lb
everyone loses at there own rate
age, sex, activity level, genetics all effect the speed you lose
larger younger men lose the fastest , older light weight women lose the slowest , usually nothing is written in stone
don't try to compare yourself with others , what is important is that your losing , not everyone gets to goal in 1 year , im 1 1/2 years out and still need to lose 40 lb to reach my surgeons goal , he happy Im thrilled , this is the longest I have been about to stay on track in my life , my health is great, my life is back , I can now buy cloths

Exercise is great for many things. But weight loss is all about the food. The only red flag I see is when you say you are grazing. That can become a bigger issue down the road. Stop that bad habit now. I think if you can, you'll see a little better results. Otherwise, just keep plugging away, and you can do it.

Averaging 10 pounds a month seems totally awesome to me! I've been at this since January 2014 and I've lost 135 pounds. I averaged about 10 pounds a month for the first 6-8 months and I've been averaging about 5 pounds a month since. I'm pretty thrilled with this :D

Grazing is definitely something to be mindful of, but I think you've done great so far. I, too, was worried about the "honeymoon" period and not getting to goal within a year, but I've just made up my mind that I'm going to get there eventually. You can absolutely make it to goal, but don't get frustrated and get off track just because you think you won't make it by year. Just keep on keepin' on. :)
