Maintenance what maintenance????
I am 2 yrs out, I cannot find the range I eat 80 protein, 600-800 calories and 30 carbs a day and that is a slow slow lose for me, it is so frustrating my metabolism is dead! So curious how you guys and I write every oz that goes in mouth I mean everything, and brisk walk 5 -6 days a week 5-10 miles. How is it you guys can eat so much and lose what the heck?????If zi eat fruit or avocado i gain immediately those were my good clean foods no more, ARG! Anyone else have this problem?All my water all my vitamins, I am doing it!
Do you actually weigh your portions, on a scale?
6'3" tall, male.
Highest weight was 475. RNY on 08/21/12. Current weight: 198.

Have you had your RMR checked? The test where you breath into a machine is much more accurate than the online guestimates.

It's hard to offer advice without a detailed look at what you are eating and how much in a day. I know you said that you write every ounce that goes into your mouth but are you actually measuring your food or are you guessing on the amounts? Maybe if you gave us more info we could trouble shoot for you. It seems odd that you are not losing at 600-800 calories. Also odd that you "gain immediately" if you eat fruit or avocado. Have you been to an endocrinologist about this problem?
You are not alone. I am three years out eat 600-800 a day with under 20 carbs and for two months in Dec and Jan this year, I went with out any fruit. In Jan. I lost 3.5 pounds and in Feb with limited fruit I lost 2.5. I was diabetic pre surgery and now take no meds but am still extremely carb sensitive. I regained a good deal in maintainance thinking I could eat more but it did not work for me. I am 60 on thyroid meds and exercise daily too. This is just reality for some of us. I wish I had better news for you but as other said, have your thyroid and blood sugar levels tested and if everything is OK then this is your reality. It sucks but I now coming to accept this. Kairk is a great poster and has similar issues.
How many others re in this situation???? Also no one else is replying wow! So I am an Nurse so all my organs are working great and i am still far from goal at least you are 6 # away i am 40# away and have come to a screaming halt like my body is seriously done??? Do stalls last months???? Scary and thing is when i was losing I ate carbs????? So now i am just stunned??? I am off fruit as well??? So whats your norm for food now? thanks for the reply this help a lot!
