VSG Date Set
I know I don't post here much (I'm a regular poster on another WLS board), but I finally have a date for my VSG. I'm a serious heavyweight (600 pounds was my highest... sitting at about 517 as of this morning). I plan to have the DS a few years down the road; there's only one vetted surgeon here in Australia (I'm originally from the US, but live in Aus now) and he wouldn't do it for me in one stage due to my size and the fact we want to have kids in the next few years. So, two-stage op it is, with the VSG part first.
I just got my surgery date recently - it'll be 21 March (that's March 20 American time, lol). :) It'll be here in the blink of an eye. Very excited. I started the 3-week Optifast diet my surgeon mandates today. Made it through Day 1 without getting grumpy with hubby, so I think I'm doing well, heh. :)
