Why the gym is awesome
When I first started going to the gym, a few years before I even considered WLS, I was a bit scared and intimidated. I even go to a little locally owned place where everyone is super friendly, but it was still a bit scary being super morbidly obese and exercising in front of people. But I persevered and I'm glad that I did. Because now, I've got this group of gym acquaintances who are cheering me on and that's super cool. :D
This morning I went to the gym and the boot campers were warming up on the treadmills. I got on the empty one and the woman next to me said, "You look gorgeous!" And I said, "Thank you! I've still got a ways to go, but I'm getting there." And she said, "You're there, girl!"
I've been having a rough time of things right now, as I posted the other day, so this TOTALLY made my day. :D I had my best run on the treadmill yet since I was so happy :D
