Life Upheaval
My heart goes out to you, Gwen You're parents are SO lucky that they have a daughter as dedicated, warm and loving as you. I'm sure they're grateful for the time you can spend with them.
Please remember to take care of yourself as best you can -- and be gentle with yourself. I know you're not one to make excuses and you hold yourself to some pretty high standards. But it's OK to relax those standards a bit in this extreme situation.
Prayers and hugs for you and your family. I've been on both sides of cancer, as a patient/survivor and a caregiver to my Mom whose prognosis is not good. Be kind and gentle with yourself. At times like this, when everything seems to be out of control, the only thing you can control is you, your options, and your choices. Make the best choices you can in each moment and the rest will take care of itself. Let go of the rest. If you are a woman of faith, lean on it and it will support you. You are a child of the universe. You make a difference in the lives of your family each and every day. They are grateful for all you can do and will do for them.
