INSURANCE APPROVAL!

I'm doing a happy dance! I just got word that I have insurance approval to move forward with my VSG surgery! I wasn't sure if I was going to have to do a 6-month doc supervised diet, and I'm so happy not to have to. I've been researching WLS for over three years now, with no insurance coverage until this year. I'm ready! I have a few more hoops to jump - blood work and a sleep study and a nutrition class. The sleep study is the biggest hurdle because I have to do an initial visit with the pulmonary doc before I can schedule it. Maybe he'll decide I don't need it? Anyway, I'm really hoping for an April surgery date at this point. I can't even believe I've gotten this far!

the pulmonary dr will not make that kind of decision he will only stop the surgery if there is something wrong to make the surgery dangerous

Thanks!! I mostly meant that I have to see that doc and have a sleep study if necessary, before I can get a surgery date. So excited, though, thank you!
