Spouse weight loss?
I had surgery 2 months ago. My husband is super supportive and super encouraging and all that. So much so, that he's changed his eating habits along with me!
The problem is I'm so jealous of him. I go to the lengths of having surgery to accomplish my, so far, 35+ pound weight loss. While he just, poof, loses 16 pounds along side me!
Great for him! Great for us! We're getting healthy together. But something in me is jealous. Jealous of how easy it is for him, jealous of him stealing my thunder, I don't know. I know I shouldn't be. I just am. Psst.
One of my partners started swimming and changing his diet about the same time I did pre-op. I've lost 130 pounds now and, while he lost really fast initially, he's lost about 40 pounds in the same time period. And he's loosing maybe a pound a month now. So, don't worry, you'll probably leave your partner in the dust ;)

I'd be dancing in the streets if my husband lost that much weight because he was trying to encourage me! Get over yourself and encourage him to lose as much as he needs to. Remember, he doesn't have the sleeve to help him through some of the trying times ahead. He may gain it all back. That would be a tragedy.

So not fair, but he's a guy, they generally lose weight easier & faster than a woman does, but it's really cool that he's supportive of you in your weight loss., totally understand the jealousy, but get over it & keep it movin, don't let anyone steal your thunder!
