....using unflavored protein powder?

I have read that if you get tired of the sweet options during your liquid diet and you want something more savory, you can use the unflavored protein Syntrax Nectar or Unjury to add to a variety of cold beverages and to warm soups, but you have to be careful when/how you add this protein because the directions say not to mix with anything hotter than 130 degrees. I like the idea of having protein in my chicken broth since I love soups. I will also ask my nutritionist on my next appointment.

A lovely woman on this blog turned me on to Genepro Molecular something or other.  I bought it on Amazon.  It truly is odorless, tasteless, and you can mix it in hot things.  In fact, I'm drinking it now in soup.  It gives you a bit more versatility if you want to mix up the flavors.

I've been using that brand in my soups and have been very happy with it. My husband checks the soup temp & then adds the protein powder and mixes it in with the immersion blender. They're creamy & have some body.

There are different types of thermometers you can use for cooking. You can use an instant read thermometer or a digital thermometer. I have the digital that I use for cooking roasts or poultry. You just set the temperature, insert the probe into the liquid (that you've measured out & poured into a cup) & wait for it to start beeping.

Both are relatively inexpensive and available in your grocery store or at a store like Bed Bath & Beyond (use their 20% off coupon),

I have used Isopure unflavored/zero carb for about a year now. I brew a cup of coffee in the evening, let it get to room temp, then add the powder, mix it up, then let it chill overnight. Its like having an iced coffee and I don't even know its in there.  When you mix the powder when its at an extreme temp - either way - I find it tends to clump and not mix in well at all. BUT if you mix at room temp, and then heat up or chill, its fine.
