Had my first real meals -Soft Food Stage!
Breakfast: I had a poached egg and a small piece of soft turkey bacon. Couldn't finish the bacon
Lunch: 2 Pieces of thin sliced turkey and some low fat cheese
Dinner: Homemade pizza made on flatout low carb wrap (paper thin) with cooked onion, green pepper, and shredded chicken. Low sodium marinara sauce (added some protein powder in it) and low fat mozzarella cheese. I could only eat about 2 small squares. I made sure to crisp up the wrap part really good because I am allowed on my diet plan to eat it if its well toasted. I can eat any non-starchy cooked vegetable as well. It all went down very easily.
It was amazing, after all those liquids I am glad to have choices! I still will keep with the shakes to get that boost of protein when I need it of course. Choice makes all the difference. :)
Lucky you! I had my surgery the same day as you, and I still am not on soft foods! I am so tired of pureed foods. I am salivating for some scrambled eggs! :-)
