You look fantastic!
I am in the process of getting approved. Only a couple months left... I can't wait to post my before and after!
Congrats! We are very similar. Had surgery in June as well and started at 280. I'm down 82 and should be more. I've had a real problem controlling snacking and pantry grazing. It's like I'm a zombie some days and others I'm right on track.
Not sure how tall you all, I'm about 5'8" and want to get to 185 first, then maybe 170. Would you share a little about your day to day eating? Calories? #meals, #snacks and favs?
congrats and you look beautiful!
I'm not a model VSGer so I'm sorry I can't give very good advice. I tend to go on autopilot because I'm very disorganized and busy homeschooling my oldest three and keeping the little ones out of trouble. It's just hard to plan what I eat! Excuses suck but that's what I've got. :/
I tend to find something I like and eat it until I get sick of it. Lol like the last few months my diet is mainly Greek yogurt with chopped up nuts, coconut and bits of chocolate chips. Then I eat the protein part of whatever I make my family for dinner. Like only the meat part of sloppy joes and a few bites of veggies, for example. I struggle with getting enough water and I know when I commit to drinking plenty of water I lose much faster. So that might help. I don't drink any calories. Only water. I only track calories if I start to get worried in over indulging. Last I checked I was around 1200 per day. Myfitnesspal is awesome for that.
Also, I have had a long plateau. But when I made the conscious decision to cut back on carbs (I didn't even track it, just made sure I was choosing mostly protein rich foods) then I finally got past the 100 lbs mark. I think the great thing about this surgery is that little changes make a big difference for us to start losing again. Sorry im not very helpful! I have a lot of food aversions since surgery so that why I get on kicks like eating mostly Greek yogurt the last couple months. I really don't like meat at all which makes this a little more difficult.
Edited to add- I'm 5'7
We are more alike than you realize! lol
i have two kids BUT I'm a teacher. So I also struggle with time and planning meals. Somethings are working right, as I've lost 82. Just wi**** was more and that I wasn't so hard on myself.
Im between 1000-1200 on MFP as well. It's life saver! Good luck to US!!
