Pre-op Testing Done
I did all my pre-op testing today and all results came back great...YAY!!! Had a newbie drawing blood and had to get stuck three times but it didn't hurt. I'm just bruised now. She felt so bad but I let here keeping trying until she got it. Had my final nutrition visit and got my program eating schedule. Can't believe it's only 5 more days until I am sleeved. Of course the day of my surgery they are calling for snow in NC. May have to stay in hotel near the hospital the night before so I can make it there. This weekend I will get some of the foods/liquids I will need for the first two weeks and other things for the hospital stay. I'M SO EXCITED!!!

My insurance only required a psych eval. But my surgeon required an endoscopy - I had an ulcer the first time so had to treat that and then have a follow-up endoscopy. I needed to have some lab work done and also an EKG.
Some people need to have cardiac stress tests and sleep studies.. I guess it all depends on a person's insurance, surgeon, and comorbidities! Mine were super easy, though. Finding out I had an ulcer certainly sucked, though, especially since it delayed my surgery a month. But good that it was found and fixed!

I was lucky that all I had was blood work and chest X-ray. Since I have never had problems with heartburn or acid reflux and I'm getting VSG he did not require the endoscopy. I also did not have to get an EKG because I have never had problems with blood pressure.
