6 Mo. Surgaversary
I had my 6 month check up yesterday. What I learned was that my own goal of losing all of my excess weight in 6 months was a little unrealistic. I mean, I *knew* that, but that was a goal I'd set for myself.
All of my blood work was great. My diabetes is in remission. Cholesterol and triglycerides were the best they've ever been. Vitamin levels were perfect.
I was told that I had lost more, percentage wise, than they typically see at 6 months. So that made me feel good, too.
23lbs to go...my new goal is to reach this goal by my one year check up.
I am SO HAPPY I had this surgery! It has improved my life in more ways than I can count.
Congrats!
I've found that, for me, time-based goals are a recipe for feeling like a failure. I know I'll get there eventually, the when isn't so important.
