Hurting

I had my VSG on 1/2/15.  I'm hurting so bad right now. I don't know if it's realted to my sleeve or from my period. Every couple of months my period is so painful I can hardly get out of bed. But this pain seems different. It's higher in my abdomen on my left side. Seriously thinking of going to the E.R. for some pain medication.

It could be your gallbladder.  That is where I felt mine.

Also my cycle did get very messed up the first few months post surgery.

I hope you feel better soon!

Thank you Stacy. Didn't think about my gallbladder.

Definitely see the doc.  My hubs had his final attack taking him to the ER for emergency surgery the day before he was to meet with his surgeon. Two big contributors to gallbladder attacks I know are caffeine and fat, so until you see a doc, avoid those.  There's something else I cannot recall - but perhaps someone else can chime in triggers for gallbladder attacks.

You need to see your surgeon or PCP. Gallbladder pain is typically on the right side and radiates to the back or into the right shoulder. You need more than pain medication; you need to find out the cause for yor symptoms. Do not hesitate.
