Chewing Gum
I avoided gum for a while after surgery but I've never been one to swallow my gum so I still have a piece in the car once in a while. They don't really have that many calories so I personally don't think it's that big a deal. I used to be a smoker so chewing gum in the car helps me cope with not being able to have a cigarette.
I was never told gum was off limits. Considering I haven't swallowed gum since I was a child, this makes sense.
