I've failed and Need help
Thank you, I just made an egg with ricotta cheese. Actually I made two and only ate about half of one. saving the rest for this evening for dinner. Today I've only had two cups of coffee so i will do what you suggested if I drink any more today. Did i mention I had originally lost exactly 60 lbs and now I'm back up to 39 lbs. UGH I really need to get back on track. how do I find the groups so that I can join the back on track group
To find a group, on the blue bar at the top of the page, right hand side, click "MY OH" then click on "Groups" -- after you click you'll see a blue box that says "Find a Group" and the "Back on Track" Group will be listed. OR use search feature (Magnifying Glass near "MY OH" and search "Back on Track" and you'll see the Welcome Page.
I have a powerful coffee addiction also. Coffee doesn't have calories, it is the crap you put it in. So find alternatives to lessen the calories you put in. For example, I am a heavy cream and sweetner person. I am able to substitute protein powder (flavor of choice). This way as you drink coffee you are getting your protein in and at least making the calories count. I only use sugar free/fat free liquid creamer. Sweetners are not a caloric issue. If you are an iced coffee freak then try Chike- they have a wonderful iced coffee shake.
Check my blog for a post on "back to basics"- it goes into detail what I do when I derail.
Most imortantly, stop the crap eating right now. It will not help you nor lead you anywhere good. Even if your first step is to stop the high calorie eating (not necessarily weight loss) then that is a fantastic step indeed. Then work on trimming calories. Go to support group. Exercise.
You can do this.

I'm right there with you Jennifer. I've lost my way and I'm trying to get back into the groove. I've been frustrated, angry at myself, felt like a failure, given up, etc over the last month. The biggest thing I can tell you: Don't beat yourself up about it. I've gotten a lot of great advice here on OH, check out the responses to my post just last night. There's some really amazing people on here and they know what they're talking about! I'll keep you in my thoughts as I too start over.
Thanks Today is a new day and I'm trying to start off right. I've had one of my limited two cups of coffee already and only used sweetener with creamer instead of sugar, Plus I used less creamer than I usually do ( powdered creamer ) I have the rest of my meals planned out for the day and comes to around 75 grams of protein today and I took a sneak peak at the calories and it's a little less than 700 calories for the day. I still have the restriction its the will power I'm working on and beating the snacking. Good luck with your venture, I'd love to hear how you are doing with your reset button.
That's what I keep saying: Today is a new day and today I will do this right. Today I've had a boiled egg for breakfast and I'll be having a protein shake in a few minutes.
The willpower is my issue as well, the restriction has just made it so I'm full faster. But then I'm feeling hungry again within an hour or two after eating. And of course, there are so many yummy things in my kitchen that are screaming my name! I'm just going to have to learn to scream back at them.
Good luck on the first day of your new journey!!
First off, start by logging every single thing you consume with something like MyFitnessPal. That'll let you see what you're doing and what you need to change. You've gotten some really super advice about how to change your coffee habit!
From there, work on getting back to your basics. Here are mine, yours might be slightly different!
1. Prioritize protein and water
2. Deprioritize carbs, especially the refined and processed ones
3. Make the most of healthy fats
4. Eat three meals a day with no snacks
5. Avoid liquid calories (breakfast protein shake is the exception)
6. Weigh portions
7. Eat mindfully and with no distractions aside from real live people
8. Move as much as possible
9. Weigh myself daily
10. Be kind to myself
