Over a Stall.... I hope

I've been losing weight very slowly lately. It's taken me a week to lose three pounds... really less. The three pounds came off in the last two days. BUT it is coming off! December 1 will be three months and so far I've lost 66.9 lbs since surgery.

One concern. I had an Upper GI done for my three month checkup and they found a hiatal hernia and it's causing acid reflux. It's not horrible and I feel fine as long as I take my Nexium. But I didn't have it before or right after surgery. I'll know more after I see the doctor December 4.

Don't sweat the stalls... and losing 3 pounds in a week is not by any stretch of the imagination a stall. Prepare yourself for a period where you go a few weeks without losing anything on the scale, although during those periods many times you lose inches. I also switched right about the 4 month mark into a stair step pattern- no loss up to 21 days and then 10 pounds or so rapidly over 2 or 3 days. Just ready yourself, because it happens to most all of us. Stick with your plan during these times, and it will work.

I had a hiatel hernia prior to surgery that caused terrible reflux. It was fixed during the vsg surgery, and holy smoke what a difference. If it ends up tha the surgeon recommends going in to repair it- just know it is totally worth it.
