Premier Protein Hacks

I have to admit, I've been a little sad to be missing all of the seasonal flavors at Starbucks this winter. That was until I found out what a teaspoon of decaf instant coffee does to my Chocolate Premier Protein shake! Yummers!

But I've actually always loved the Chocolate. Its the case of vanilla that I've been angrily staring down. Does anyone have anything fun additions they throw in to make it less... boring?

I like the vanilla on it's own but I have used caramel extract or sf orange kool aid to change up the flavor. If you put "vanilla premier protein recipes" in a search engine, you'll get a few more ideas.. just need to change the recipe to be bariatric friendly :)

Yw

Some of the recipes use a lot of fruit, which we can't .. but improvise :)

I've also seen some people say they use vanilla as the creamer for their tea or coffee

You can also add Torani sugar free syrup to any drink! They have peppermint, french vanilla, almond, etc.!

Eggface has a whole section of recipes.

I bought some sugar-free syrups from Torani on Amazon:  Mint, Almond Rocha, Carmel, Coconut, etc.  I also bought some PB2 (peanut butter powder) to add to my shakes. Also, when making shakes, I use a shaker bottle instead of a blender - cuts down on the "froth" so they're easier to get down.

What about cinnamon.  Haven't had my sleeve dont yet but hoping for the beginning half of 2015;) Ive been trying to stay away from the high calorie Xmas coffee favorites and adding cinnamon to my coffee it makes it festive without the added extra calories ;)

How about cinnamon, nutmeg, ground cloves, pumpkin pie spice, vanilla extract, chai teabag, peppermint extract, banana extract, instant coffee.  Tons of possibilities, just look around the spice cupboard.  Many of the sugar free syrups are great additions to protein drinks as well.

I've tried everything in my cupboards. It usually tastes like egg nog when I get done. I definitely want to get some Torani syrups, but I've only found a limited selection in the stores I go to. I guess I will need to break down and get some online. I also didn't realize that you could warm the shakes. I was afraid that it would hurt the protein content. But if the company says you can, I plan to cook up something fun!

I purchased my Torani syrups at World Market. They even have the smaller bottles. But I've seen them at Walmark and Walgreens.
