Wow, you look amazing!  Would you mind sharing what the worst part of plastics was for you so far?  How long did you take off work and did you tell co-workers what you were doing?  When will you go home from hospital, etc.

I will definitely write more about this at some point -- in a more coherant post, but for now -- I have someone stopping by my room to chat in a few here are some quick things.

Overall the process has been much better than expected but

The negatives:

  • being terrified when they were going to put in the epidural -- they ended up doing it when i was asleep
  • not being able to sleep on my side
  • occassional pain when i move my leg in a weird position
  • BM issues
  • not being able to take a bath
  • not being able to workout for 6 weeks :(
  • scars
  • being in mexico for 12 days
  • some of the nurses not speaking english

the positivies

  • the doctor is so patient and gives so much time
  • my body is tiny
  • i have boobs
  • the pain isn't nearly as bad as I thought -- no pain killers today
  • i can walk around
  • the nurses are so nice
  • the care at the hospital is far better than i received after vsg
  • i get support from nurses everyday that I am here
  • I am only 4 days out so much to come as I get further out.
