5-Month Surgiversury TODAY! -141.5
Congrats to you!! I am only 5 weeks out today and hope to do as well as you!! And don't think of it as "halfway to your goal" - think of it as halfway to a new, healthier you!! And if you are really feeling down about it, just think of how much LESS you would have lost in 5 months if you hadn't had the surgery!! Keep it up!! :)
Dude, you got it! Keep rockin it.

Wow. That is a lot of weight to lose in five months. Congratulations!
I know how daunting it seems. My high weight was 449, I've lost over 200 pounds with 69 more to go until goal. I never thought I would be looking at a two-digit number to reach goal. BUT IT HAPPENS!!! Just keep doing what you're doing and you'll get there. We didn't gain all this weight in a year, so it takes some time to get it off. You are definitely working your sleeve and doing the right things. Look at your achievements in smaller increments - 10 pounds at a time - and that will help to prevent it from looking like Mission Impossible.
WTG! I'm so happy for you

As per usual, its nice to know there is so much support out there.. thank you all !! One quick question for some of you veterans: This was the least amount I have lost in a month (14lbs)... I didn't eat any differently... Does it mean all subsequent months will be less than a 14lb loss? I know if that is the case it is not the worse thing, but psychologically, I like that 20lb a month mark lol.,
We'd all like to lose 20 pounds per month
It seems to gradually slow down as our bodies adjust to the limited portions and calories we now eat. And sometimes you have diet fatigue after being so gung ho at the beginning and start eating things that add more calories or carbs. I have my weight loss broken down by month on my sig line. You'll see a decrease, but it's still a significant amount per month overall.

All things being equal and assuming you stay consistent with your caloric intake..... WL does gradually slow.
Several reasons for it are that your body has less weight to carry around...... imagine how many more calories you would burn right now..... if you carried 141lbs backpack around 24/7
Your also running more and more efficient and your body at rest is needing fewer calories.
All of which is a good thing as I'm sure your health risks have come down substantially.
I watched JimboVSG lose 350lbs. in about 2 years. His start weight was 580lbs.
He was very consistent, and his rate of WL slowed and slowed (like most of us regardless of how much we have to lose)
Keep at it.... stay consistent.... no wig wagging...... Tip: increasing calories as time goes on..... not good (for most)
