HAIR LOSS QUESTION !!!

I lost just like everyone else between 3 and 6 months out but now it seems to be slowing down big time and I have some sprouting in yea!!!! My hair is still brittle  bit it will come back.... have you tried biotin and also I was told don't wash your hair everyday try to do it only every 2 to 3 days ... good luck to you don't worry it will come back !!! :-)

I lost quite a bit of my hair and it never grew back.  I've been post op 10 years now and I'm still losing hair like crazy.  I do the protein thing and I take my vitamins .   Just my luck I guess.  Good luck to you though!!!!

Wow, I see this happens in guys too. I've already got a good receding hair line... sounds like a very tight buzz cut is in my near future and months following surgery.

Hi Stephen - Month 5 was one of my worst months too.  By the time I got to 1 year post-op the loss had slowed down but I'd lost about half of my hair :-(  It is coming back....sloooowlly.   Some people just have a worse time with teleogen effluvium (look it up) than others and it sounds like you're in that boat along with me.  

My doctor has me taking spironolactone because I had fine, thinning hair before and nothing I was doing was helping.  After 3 months it has made a HUGE difference and my hair guy says the new hair coming in is MUCH healthier, thicker and stronger.  

I always got in all my protein, always took my vitamins, took the biotin and every other supplement for hair before and after surgery, ate chia seeds every day like they were going out of style...and it still didn't help.  It was finally pharmaceutical intervention that helped.  

And by the way, Minoxidil will cause your follicles to ALL shed first before it starts growing back.  I thought that was a great idea and then quickly stopped it.
