I haven't had my surgery yet but I'm trying to plan ahead. I'm looking for freezer/ microwavable containers for my food portion. Just wondering what size of container will I need when it's time to eat solid foods? How many total oz of food will my sleeve be able to hold for a meal?  Any tips / suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I bought the smallest tupperware-type containers I could find at the store and were still too big. Especially at the beginning, you are going to be looking at maybe 2-3 ounces at a time (depending on the food and what your plan calls for) and the smallest containers I found were in the 1 cup range. I wouldn't worry too much.

I went on eBay and bought 200 disposable 2 oz containers. Cost around $15 with shipping... I think.

Food might not freeze too well with it but it does well in the fridge.

I got 1/2 cup Glad containers with lids at Meijer's and Dollar General. I think there were 6 in a pack.

When I was first out, I bought those little 2oz solo containers with lids. Now i'm 3.5 months out, I use glad ware containers or Tupperware that hold 1 cup. I use them for soups and chilis that I take for lunch. I either fill them 3/4 and eat it all, or fill it up and don't finish LOL

I can eat about 3/4 cup at a sitting, mind you that sitting usually takes an hour LOL

I bought a couple sets of baby food containers from amazon before surgery.  Look up "Tot Blocks" by OXO in 2 and 4 ounce sizes.  I can freeze them and put them in the dishwasher and they are great to pack food for work.  3 oz of salmon in one and a couple tablespoons of a FF greek yogurt/dill dip for topping makes a great lunch!

Get the smallest you can find... and don't bother to fill it up ... I did that and wasted a lot of food and yogurt in the beginning lol ... guess my eyes were bigger then my tummy was lol.  Best of luck to you! !! :-)
