Sigh, no band no sleeve struggle
I know I should be grateful for so many things. The lapBand slippage was there for years and never went to erosion. I am still fat but relatively healthy. The damage in having the band for 10 years and the removal surgery doesn't negate future VSG surgery (thank you Dr. Alvarez). I have not thrown up or had that horrible slime in 6 days since Band removal. Thanks. that is a miracle, I was sliming or vomiting daily before.
On the other hand, I am 47 and have messed around with this losing/gaining crap for 20 years. I have had TWO surgeries in relation to losing the weight. I have PCOS, insulin resistance, and am pre-menopausal. I am so tired of losing and gaining the same 20-40lbs. While recovering from anesthesia ....you know, I could write chapters and convey my sadness and disappointment. I know it will happen... I am just sad

You have every right to be sad! You have gone/going through a lot.. when you want something so bad, and it feels like it's not going to happen, is the worst feeling!
BUT... all you can do is, NOT give up!
Good luck! HUGS
I just had my revision and before surgery, weeks before surgery, my single biggest fear was not having my sleeve done when they removed my band. All my research before surgery was geared towards increasing my odds of having it done in one procedure, it became an obsession.
Just wan to say I sympathize with what you are feeling.
Awwww Lianna, I'm so sorry you are going through this I can relate on so many levels. We share the exact same health issues. Be strong and hopeful. Time will fly by, and before you know it, you'll be sleeved, and these thoughts and feelings will be a thing of the past. Sending positive thoughts your way!
