Now I am ready
Hi everyone! This is my first post. I went through the steps to have GB done about three years ago and got cold feet. Tried again in October 2013. I have lost 75lbs doing a medically supervised diet, but it has slowed and I feel I am ready for this tool and to get healthy. I know it won't be easy, but am so glad I have all of you to help me through! I am scared, but I think that may be normal. I am waiting for my insurance to come though. I work for the local hospital, so hopefully it will be soon. My doctor thinks my surgery will be in late November/early December and I am having the sleeve. I just wanted to introdice myself and say thank you in advance. I think I may need a little hand holding - but I've got this! Thank you!
Welcome!

Hi, Good Luck! I am also scheduled for a sleeve on November 18th. I have a few more requirements to meet and also have to wait for insurance approval. I am super nervous and go back and forth about whether I should do this. I'm impressed with your weight loss! I can't seem to lose a pound. I quit smoking in July and put on 7 lbs I'm having a hard time getting that off. I will be 63 when I have this surgery. I'm worried that I am too old to do it. Most people are so much younger. Any support or nonsupport would be greatly appreciated.
