1week out..feel like a made a 20k mistake
It is going to get better! I am one week out as well and I didn't feel human until yesterday. Are you eating some sugar free popsickles and jello? I know it is not great but it does add some variety. I have been sleeping on a wedge pillow which has helped because i love to sleep on my tummy...but it is just a short time....you can do it! I know it is hard but the lack of protein and liquids will make you feel listless and it becomes a vicious circle. I am sorry you are so blue BUT 20 pounds is awesome. You can do this!
Tank is worth trying not to eat for several hours or more I know it sucks because I've been on a liquid diet for tuesdays and have a Nother 14 days to go. When I feel like it just can't go any further I just don't eat I don't have any liquid or anything to drin****il I just can't stand it no more and then I have a shake and it's like eat now Sunday or eating a having a real shake it taste so good going down
Try not to think about it.
I am a stomach sleeper, I went out and bought a body pillow, that helped ALOT!!! I'm 3 weeks out and sometimes I sit and think OMG, really.. How can I do this for the rest of my life, small meals, and such... It will get better!!!
Just mellow out, take long hot showers, and relax, get a hobby or catch up on your tv shows. Get your mind off it. I started a new job 9 days post op, but i know my depression would have kicked in big time, if I was sitting at home feeling sorry for myself!! I haven't taken any of my meds since 3 weeks pre op. Just trying to work thru it myself!!
Hang in there, hugs!

I'm not an expert in this specific area, but if you're not even getting half of the liquids and protein that you need to and are feeling listless, it might suggest that you're getting dehydrated. Several people on this forum have had this happen and can maybe chime in with details. I'd suggest calling your surgeon's office just to see what they say. It may just be that you need some IV fluids.
Hang in there! I've yet to meet someone *****gretted this surgery - you'll get past this hurdle and start to really feel the benefits. We're all rooting for you!!
I'm 5 weeks out tomorrow and boy was I where u are. I hated life the first 2 weeks. It does get better. For one u need to stay hydrated drink as much water as U can. I got dehydrated for 2 days BC I was focusing too much on protein. They actually switched me to regular food after 2 weeks BC I couldn't keep the protein shakes down. As for sleeping on your tummy I started sleeping on it at 4 weeks with no problems.
It will get better !!! I cried like a 2 year old for the first week or 2 ... saying I ruined my life and my family's lives! !! But I can tell you with no uncertainties it is the best thing I've ever done with my life... I have never felt or even looked as good as I do now.... I'll be 47 years young next week and feel more like 25 heath is fantastic !!! So have faith this feeling will pass I promise !!! :-)

The depression after surgery is VERY normal. I had it and ive seen it over and over on here. You will soon be able to sleep more comfortable. You will feel better, a lot of people struggle to get the fluids in, THIS WILL GET BETTER. IN 1 month you will have a completely different outlook. Hang in there, It gets MUCH, MUCH better!!!
