sounds like you did ok and gained some perspective on how most people eat!  I struggle with this too.  I take my mother grocery shopping every other week, she's desperately trying to lose weight which is hard at 68 yrs old.  she eats a lot vegetables, tries to get organic packaged foods ... not bad right?  but she also stocks up on ice cream, muffins, full fat yogurt (like 15%!!!!) ... so much that I'm sure that 75% of her calories come from these things.  Worse, she tries to buy me these things because she thinks i'm too skinny now!  lol.  And even though I need the calories at this stage in my journey ... I dont want to go back to that way of eating.  people just dont understand and that's frustrating!!!

Thanks for the support guys.  It is so nice being able to come here and spill to people who understand.

Shockingly enough I am at my lowest weight ever after the weekend.  I was really expecting to be at my top range due to the extra food and travel water retention.  Maybe the anxiety burned extra calories.

I think you're saying that WLS is for real and forever. It still surprises me at times that I must follow the plan forever even while I'm at goal.

And on a side note, my son-in-law is a professional chef who has been awesome with my 'diet'. He seems to really understand my plan and cooks accordingly. But there are times when I wish I could just eat everything that he cooks.

Sorry you had anxious moments~~hope things 'normalize' for you and your family.
