First Dates!
Thank you everyone for the good thoughts :)
He was nice enough. We had good conversation. I had a good time, but to be honest there was no real spark. We will see. We went for Korean BBQ which was perfect -- I just skipped the rice and enjoyed meat and kimchee ;)
My therapist said I should expect to go on 30 first dates before I meet someone. So, I am trying to go into these without much expectations, just to have a nice evening. So with that in mind, it was successful.
Wednesday evening I am meeting Michael at a bar, so I think I will get in a nice glass of red :)
You know, in my 20s I did "Its Just Lunch"
I had a lot of first dates. Some of the guys I became friends with and they turned out to be "forever friends" You know, the kind that retrieve you from strange towns in the middle of the night because your car broke down.
So...while I used to feel that I didnt need anymore friends, I turned out glad to be wrong.
:)
Have a great date with the other guy!

eHarmony does an awesome job of matching people up. And I was more impressed with them than with Plenty of Fish. Here is the secret with eHarmony. They do a great job and you have a tendency to think if I met someone this great right away, how much better will my dates be if I keep trying.
Sadly the dates get worse. They find the best matches right away. Thirty dates is about what I did, but did not count. Just met someone every few days for a few months. Sometimes two dates in the same day. I also had some pretty hot pics up there and got lots of responses from my matches.
I met my boyfriend on eHarmony five years ago and he was my very first match on the very first day I joined. But I did not respond to him until about three months later. The first day we met in real life, we clicked and have been together ever since.

EHarmony is a relgious based site, so for an old Atheist like me, it would be as much interest as Christian Mingle LOL!
I met my lovely boyfriend on POF - his line of "if you watch Fox News, don't contact me" and my "if Jesus is your Lord and Saviour, don't contact me" created a fabulous match!

I was on it for three months about five years ago. Had no idea it was Christian based.
Funny story about one of my friends who joined Catholic Singles. She met someone and started dating. One Sunday afternoon they had come back from Mass, she was cooking dinner and he was watching the football game on TV while lying on her couch. All of a sudden she said she realized that it was just like being married and she told him to get lost.
