BOOBS!

this may be a ramble -- warning!

So I have always had large boobs.  Not crazy big, but it was kind of part of my identity.  When I went in for surgery, I was a 42DD and pushing it.  Lately, I have been wearing a 38D and they were really just to give me shape in my clothes -- I couldn't come close to filling them out.

I am having plastic surgery in early november, so I didn't want to spend much on new bras.  I was asking some of my friends what size boobs I should get and they were all like -- you don't need them - I explained that my bra was empty and that I didn't really have what I was showing (LOL).  They told me that I needed to invest in a new bra w/ a sizing consultation before I go get new boobs.  I'm not really sure why I didn't think of that!

So I went and got measured.  I was told 36 - 38 C or D.  I tried on some bras but didn't really like any of them.  The loose skin on the side of the boob just was a major problem when I got closer to the right size.

Today, I went into one of those teenager stores (Rue 21 or something) and they had bras 3 for $18 -- BINGO -- I can invest 18 bucks.  So I tried on the 36D and the 38C (largest size they had!).  The 38C worked pretty well, so I got a few.  I do feel better in a bra where I'm actually filling it up.

So on question -- why do I feel like I have tiny boobs, when I am buying the largest size they sell at these stores.  Does anyone else feel this way?

Maybe I do not need implants, but just a lift.  IDK!

I'm only 3 weeks out so I can't relate, but I'm afraid of losing my boobs.  Also, part of my identity (and something my husband likes ).  I'm bigger than you...44G, but I know they are going to shrink and I'm worried.  Good luck!  I know a properly fit bra is a life saver!!

I get it! At my heaviest I was a 48 H and I have always just been a big boobed girl. At 125 lbs I was a 34/36 D. But now I honestly don't care. They could shrink to an A and I would be fine. My back is killing me, they hang near my belly button and I am sick of them. If I have to join the itty bitty committee I'm ready!   Sounds like you are just adjusting to the new you. I'd wait before getting surgery to see how your new bras feel and how you like your natural size for a while. I am planning a reduction at some point. I'd be surprised if they get small enough for just a lift (and my insurance won't cover it then either).

In my opinion, if you are a C cup then you should celebrate.  I can't wait until my boobs are smaller, and in fact at 3 weeks out I'm already noticing my skin feeling looser.  I'm worried about how they will look after weight loss but I would never go back to having huge boobs (42 DD) due to the horrible back pain and the difficulty I have finding tops that fit right.  Not to mention that it is definitely harder to find the right size in a store so I have to buy my bras online. I say go with the lift!

To all less-endowed gals I'd advise:
It's no use to obsess about size.
Yes, your A-cups can please.
You don't need double-Ds!
Lord above, you're as bad as us guys!

If it feels good, do it!  And if it smells good, eat it!

How long does it take for "man boobs" to shrink?  Mine are big and hope they shrink a lot during this process. 😃

I was in your position many years ago and I turned into "boobs sagging"!!! :(  but I had to go to the plastic surgeon for my hernia repair and pediculectomy.  While I visited he asked me what else is on your wish list?  I told him my boobs but I said my insurance would never pay for boobs.  He said well now that you are so small you would never want large breasts.  What you need is a breast reduction and your insurance would pay for that... and with that you would have a lift done.  It is worth going to talk with someone when you are ready and just see what is possible and what is paid for legitimately.  Honestly my new boobs fit me perfectly and are as perky as when I was a young woman!  Insurance paid every cent!  From 46H before surgery to 34C now I feel so real!!!

Yeah - I am wondering if the lift is the way to go.  Do you have any issues with upper breast fulness?  They say that the lift cannot help with that.

I had a lift and have absolutely no upper pole fullness. From the side, they look tear-dropped in shape. In a bra they look fabulous, but I may end up getting implants after all. I want them to look round even when I am braless.

I was going through clothes I wore at my skinniest - 175lbs. I saved just a few of my all time favorites. I'm not sure if I can wear them again but we'll see. My husband could not believe those things used to fit me. He thought they were children's clothes.

I found this beautiful, lacy bra. I think it's like a 36C. I'm like a 44DD right now. It looked so tiny, I think it freaked my husband out a little bit. But I remember it fitting perfectly, and I would be thrilled to have those C cups again!
