I'm feeling pretty dejected today.  Two of my closest friends came over yesterday for dinner and to hang out and neither of them said a thing about my weight loss.  I know it's noticeable.  They both know I've had surgery and how hard I'm working.  It just left me feeling sad and confused.  Especially since one of them has been my best friend for the last 12 years or so.  Sigh. :(  I don't expect other people in my life to say anything, which is good, since they don't.  But I sort of figured my bff might toss me a "hey, looking good."

In addition to food for today, I made some greek chicken salad with a bunch of veg from the farmers market and I'll be having that for lunches through the week.

1: frankenshake + miralax
2: the last of the leftover sushi
3: szechuan green beans with pork
4: ??

water and vites: on track (and I set up vites this morning for the next two weeks)
exercise: rest day

Oh I'm sorry.  :(

maybe be they didn't know what to say.  I know it seems obvious - to say you look great, but they might just not know.

You are doing awesom.  Focus on the positive benefits!

im going to check out those green beans.  My favorite dish from when I visited china was green beans with pork.

I'm really hoping it's just a matter of "don't know what to say."  Because all of the other things I can think of seem pretty sad :(

I'm sorry your friends didn't acknowledge your great accomplishment!  I agree, it is likely they just didn't know what to say or if it was okay to bring up. My BFF told me prior to surgery that she wouldn't ask me about it or how it was going because she didn't want it to irritate me. I told her it was ok but I don't know how she will handle it. I think people assume we don't want to discuss it, like it will somehow make you more hungry or upset about your "diet" if you have to talk about it. Maybe next time you see her you could mention how happy you are with how things are going and with your decision. Maybe that would open the door for her to know you are okay talking about it.

You are doing fabulous!!  We are all proud of you!

I'm sorry I didn't reply to this sooner, but thank you for posting it.  It's weird, since one of my friends (the female of the pair) talks to me on Facebook about her attempts at weight loss (15 pounds) ALL THE TIME.  So I would have assumed that she wouldn't have had issues when we saw each other IRL.  So strange!  And I wonder if my other friend (the male) didn't want to say anything because he didn't want to praise my weight loss when he knows that she is struggling to lose 15 pounds.  But I'm struggling to lose 199 so, ugh. :/

Thankfully I'm pretty much over it now and back to being happy and content.  :D
