This is my 14 month surgiversary. I'm down 211 pounds total. I only lost 6 pounds this month. I'm below goal, but still want to lose a bit more of my belly fat. Its going soooo sloooow! Its hard when I am still eating only 1,000 calories a day, and often wanting to eat more, and not seeing much progress. The only choice is to keep plugging along...

I'm hopefully having surgery next month and my nutritionist and NP have both said not to snack between meals. They said I need to eat 20-30 grams of protein per meal, three times a day and nothing in between. Is anyone else only eating 3 times a day? It looks from this post that most people are eating snacks too.
I'm still early out so I can't get my protein requirements met with just meals. My plan is three meals a day with no snacks, but I also drink one protein shake a day. (With my medical team's blessing.)

My program was like yours. They wanted me eating only three meals a day, which is what I've tried to do. Their rationale was that one big downfall of people post surgery is grazing behavior, and they wanted me in the routine of eating only at mealtime. I've been doing it for 17 months now, and it worked for me. I think most people do eat snacks and they make it work, as well.
Best wishes,
Carol
