I'm getting frustrated with my stomach.  Last night I ate a bit less than 1 ounce of meat and had to focus very hard not to vomit.  Then I got very flushed, hot, and clammy.  I know that restriction can increase after a few months, so that might be what I'm experiencing right now.  I'm seeing my surgeon tomorrow and looking forward to sorting this thing out.  (I'm sticking to shakes and yogurt for most of the day, since my stomach doesn't have issues with those things.)

1: frankenshake
2: froyo protein popsicle or protein shake - probably the popsicle which counts as food for the purposes of pill taking
3: froyo protein popsicle or protein shake
4: out to local tex-mex place for trivia/dinner.  I have a few ideas of what I might get, but I haven't decided yet.

Gwen, was the ounce of meat dry or tough? I've had a similar experience when I've overcooked some steak, and it was truly miserable. I am so sorry you're having this problem.

It was super tender meat.  I ate overcooked salmon once and it did a number on me, but this current thing is totally different and very strange.  And I'm having a hard time finding words to explain it, so I hope the surgeon has had others with this experience so he'll know what I'm talking about!

I was just telling my therapist the other day how scared I was because I could suddenly eat a full 3oz of lean meat without any issues (burping, stuck at the top of my esophagus)--scared because I thought, oh, god, I was going to have to white-knuckle the desire to overeat from now on!

That night, 2oz of steak totally overfilled my stomach, and I was miserable. I was so happy.

LOL!

Too funny! My therapist and I actually had a conversation yesterday of "what is it like to throw up after having had surgery?" :P But the whole "over eaten" vomit is totally different than a "real" vomit.

Feel better darling.  The only thing I've seen is strictures with the same symptoms.  Glad you are going to see the doctor.

Well that would suck!  I'm glad I'm seeing the surgeon tomorrow too.  I'm not worried - I know he'll be able to sort things out.
