x-post - I was refered to as skinny today

I was at my skating rink's annual BBQ today, and I was having fun, and yes, eating a few things I shouldn't. I was avoiding the water balloon fight by talking with one of the coaches and my DH. She was telling us a story about adopting a rescue dog, and was describing the lady who met her to transfer the dog. She said, that the lady was skinny like her (pointing to me while talking to DH). I was kind of stunned. DH said later that I had a happy look on my face when that coach called me skinny.

This same coach was the one who told me about the adult class when I went for work out purposes before my VSG. She doesn't see me often, but has watched me shrink.

I know that many of us struggle with body image crap, and I am no exception. My brain has a hard time understanding that I am now a small person. But being called skinny might just help with that.
