Light bulb moment....

I went to Kohl's yesterday to pick up some shorts for the summer since I don't have any.  For the last 30 years, I was limited to a small section in any department store.  You know that section,inthe corner, with the plus sizes.   It was really overwhleming to me to realize that I had a whole store to shop in and that I could try on and buy clothes in any section.  Thank you sleeve!

Thanks, Toni.  It is not so much the shopping- it is like the whole store opened up for me. I'll continue to enjoy it.

Congrats! Isn't it wonderful? I actually ended up happy crying in the Kohl's dressing room today when I realized I was going to buy size 10 and size medium pants. I still have about 25 lbs to go but honestly I never thought it was possible when I started out wearing a 6X.

Do you ever feel like the sales person is going to show up and direct you back over to the plus size section? I still feel out of place in the rest of the store!

I do still feel I don't belong there.  The adjustment to body image is still quite a journey.  I am glad that we are here doing it together.
