2 years + post op EATING / OUNCES?
im 9 months out and can eat 4 oz protein and around 4 oz veggies , my surgeon said by 1-1/2 years 8-12 oz is normal
a pre surgery stomach can easily hold 32+ oz
how much it can hold and how much and what you put in it are 2 different things
I say under 800 cal most (95%) of the time try for 80 gm protein and around 30 carbs and of course at least 65 oz liquids
I have a large, loosely sewn sleeve (in the 40's). IF I am super hungery I can eat 4 ounces of steak, a very small salad, and maybe a bit or two of starch. A normal meal may have 3-4 ouncers of protein, but I rarely eat beef so that is usually chicken or seafood. If it is a soft protein, I an eat maybe 6 ounces of something like cottage cheese with 2 or 3 strawberies- and that makes me uncomfortably full. I no longer remember how much my doc said the capacity would be.
