Blog or other wls documentation?

Now that I'm about 7 days pre-surgery, I'm wondering what the best way to document my journey might be.  Is it too late to start a blog?  I have written a few in the past on other subjects, and I'm wondering if I should just do a blogger one, or start one on OH?

what do you all recommend?  I would like to document everything for my own records, but am thinking that maybe others could benefit if I turned it into a blog.

I do like to write, and it might be therapeutic as well.  Thanks for the forum to post so frequently recently.  With only a few days to go now, I'm pretty much obsessing over everything VSG.

secondly, what are some good VSG blogs to be following?  I have bookmarked the eggs face one.

thanks again,

Renee

I created two blogs to document my journey. The first one (acbbrown.wordpress.com) covers my first 18 months. Is open to anyone. My 2nd one is accessible by request (sexyskinny*****wordpress.com) but covers my journey from 18 mo-3 yr. it's very therapeutic for me to write and share. Ive made a lot of friends by being very open about my life and my struggles on top of it.

If you want more creative ideas for food etc, there's quite a few. Id have to wait to a normal hour (thanks insomnia) to think of them though.

I am doing a video blog on YouTube (silkiilocks).  My surgery is this Thursday. I think it's really gonna help to be able to go back and look at actual videos of myself.

Hello Renee,

It's not to late to start a blog. There is a lot of good ways to start a blog like "ObesityHelp", "YouTube", "MyFitnessPal" just to name a few.

Sounds like everything is going good for you. I wish you the very best on your journey.

I don't know what will be good for VSG blogs, just look around the VSG Forum and you'll find something good. Eggface is a good in what I can tell.

Feel free to add me to your friend's list.

One other thing I'd recommend is get a notebook, keep it with you at all times, and write down every NSV that pops into your head.

It's amazing how many of these you'll exerience over the full journey.  Even at the very end they just keep popping up.

The big ones are always easy to remember (like the day you hit onderland or such), but if you keep a log of them all you'll find there are literally 100s of them.

Write them down, and cherish them when you reflect back on the journey.  It'll help you during the stalls and help you appreciate all the progress made.

I've found it helpful to journal through this process.  I started mine pre-op, but it's never too late to start.  Personally I'm not a fan of the OH blogging tool since I don't think there's a way to view it in any sort of RSS reader.  So I went with livejournal since I had a personal LJ already.  It was easy enough to create a weight loss LJ!

The link to my journal is in my signature below - that's how I find most of the WLS journals I read through people's signatures.
