Dispensing of medical advice- a warning for Newbies
It's sad that people choose to live in a bubble where they only want praise and people to agree with them. If you truly believe what you're posting, you should be able to handle and respond to dissenting opinions. Intelligent people can disagree. When you bury your head in the sand or stick your fingers in your ears and scream LA-LA-LA-LA to avoid any type of criticism, it's a serious character flaw IMHO.

While what you say is true, it's not what I was talking about.
If you block me, I can't comment on your posts. So if you block everyone who disagrees, the only people who can reply to you are those who agree, which give the impression to others that no one disagrees with you.
Does that make more sense?

To some extent. But I think you guys worry about this too much. I see plenty of disagreement here.
And somehow, whenever Elina posts something and people agree with her and give her positive reinforcement, HappyTeacher somehow finds out about it and posts one of these types of threads and gets her agreement and strokes too.

This post was never intended to be about the self-proclaimed royalty actually. It is about how there are so many different paths to success and finding the correct fit... and during that process not feeling pressured to conform to something that may not work for you. As far as this being bumped due to Elina- I have no clue what she posts. I assume she still posts fairly prolifically so consequently anytime this particular post is bumped it would by default coinicide with one of her threads or comments. She has her views of which I have no interest in, thus I choose to intentionally avoid and ignore.

back when I was pre- and newly post-op there were a very few posters who did not assume they would be "low carb" forever.
I was very glad they were around and that is why I come back now & then and try to provide some diversity here.
once upon a time I had a group to talk about Binge Eating Disorder, and later one about Clean Eating.
PM me if you are interested in either of these.
