One thing that helped me was a wireless bra. My drain was right on my bra line abd I couldn't wear my regular bras for a few weeks because I didn't want to irritate the area. I bought a couple cheap ones from Wal-Mart for $5 called the Best Bra Ever and i love them.

I also used breath strips because I didn't want to chew gum.

I would order samples of protein drinks.  I tried them pre-surgery.  I found after surgery I didn't like them but, at a month or two out they tasted the same as pre-surgery.  I liked the thinner less sweat, low/no carb Syntrax Nectar shakes.  I bought all the mini stuff, never used it.  The shaker bottles with the wire balls are the best.  I had a magic bullet when I had my band surgery as it was the best thing going, the shaker bottles are so much better.

Don't stock up on lots of food pre-surgery.  I never got thru a fraction of what I bought.  Sugar free pop-cycles are the best.

BAND REMOVED 9-4-12-fought insurance to get sleeve and won! Sleeved 1/22/13! Five years out and trying to get that last 15 pounds back off.

get some sample packs of protein powders.  syntrax, chike both have sample packs.  MAYBE a tub of basic vanilla whey isolate that you can add to to change the taste.  dont go crazy buying stuff like plain powder ... I just finished mine a year+ out from surgery.  lol
