Thick skin and peasant genes! LOL! My scars never turned purple and are already fading and there were no scabs on them ever. I put absolutely nothing on them apart from disinfecting twice a day and a little antibiotic ointment. That is for one more week and then nothing else.

Thank you so much for sharing these with us! I still think my inner thighs won't be great after VSG, but I hope my stomach and butt look as good as yours!
How was the pain level post-op? When could you drive? I'm trying to plan (as best I can) for life post-op here. My mother is coming for a portion of the time. I have no idea if that's a good thing or a bad thing. . .

The pain really was minimal for me. I had morphine drops, orally, for two days and then just tylenol for another two and then nothing. A little pulling on the incision but otherwise not much EXCEPT when coughing sneezing or laughing!! That was horrible but only the first week. I was able to drive one week post op. I probably could have earlier but didn't pu**** Now I'd say I am pretty much back to my usual self. Doc gave me a month off work but I was good to go at two weeks. Luckily he is in Zimbabwe so I didn't have to argue with him. Just told the nurse to release me and she had no problem with that. I am sure you will love your results! I haven't done my breasts and thighs yet but am sure it will be great too. Love my new tummy, butt and belly button!!
