When is the honeymoon over?
If I remember correctly, I had lost a majority of my weight 6 months after surgery, and had lost all of my weight by 10 or 11 months post op. The next few years were a whirl-wind, exercising to try and get down even further... sudden gains from straying from the basics.. etc. All that said, I'm coming up on my 4 year surgiversary and I still feel like my sleeve and I are on a beach somewhere sipping mai tais!
Realistically though, the "honeymoon" ends somewhere around 6 or 7 months post-op. Soon after my VSG surgery, I remember getting up every morning and weighing myself. Sometimes even weighing myself numerous times a day. I wanted to post on OH several times a day. It was fun to see the number (and my body) change on a daily basis and I was consumed with everything VSG. As the weight loss slowed, so did my weigh ins and my OH posting. My sleeve and I are just an old married couple now.
