Goal Weight -- what should it be?

I'm 5'4" and I have a lot of weight goals.  My surgeon said that his goal for me is just to be in the overweight BMI category, but I plan on doing better than that.

291 - Extremely Obese
271 - 25% EWL
260 - Driver's License Weight
233 - Obese
229 - 50% EWL
213 - One Hundred Lost
199 - "Onederland"
187 - 75% EWL
180 - Age 18
174 - Overweight
157 - Half the person I used to be
145 - Normal

ULTIMATE GOAL - 127 pounds, 22.5% body fat (Normal BMI range is 145-109)
Height - 5'4"

I'll reevaluate that ultimate goal once I get closer, I'd like to switch to body fat goals at some point.  At this point, even 200 seems so ridiculously far away that it's hard to think of these weights.

Nikke here, chiming in at Chrissy's request LOL

I, too, am about 5'10" and agonize over what a "goal weight" should be. In my mind, my goal weight has changed several times and I still haven't figured out where I want to end up. My ticker says 174, the top of the normal BMI range, however, I wonder if I'm ever really going to have the ability to maintain at that number, since I seem to be maintaining now... or at least experiencing a very slow rate of loss.

I think jubjub gave good advice about the body fat % testing - I did a BodPod test not too long ago and the results were helpful. To be at the top of a body fat % "normal" range, my high weight would be 182 or 183... and I think at this point, I'm looking to get to that number.

It's also hard for me to look at myself in the mirror and decide if I like what I see to pick a goal weight that way because of the excess skin. To be honest, if I was exactly the weight I was now, but didn't have the excess skin, I could care less what I actually weigh. My husband has been encouraging me to either maintain or lose slowly over time until I have plastics and then afterwards, decide if I want to lose a little more.

Although losing more weight after plastics could compromise results... I'm not talking about a large amount of loss, so I think that might be my plan. At the end of the day, I just want to be far enough away from 200 that if I have a 5 lb swing, I'm still not close to the number. So, hopefully I can get to 185 and then just go from there!!

I am 5'9", although was 5'10" most of my life so my brain is stuck there.  My body pretty well seems to be somewhat maintaining.  I work out a lot (8 classes a week), and am very focused on building muscle.  I am aiming for a lower body fat.  I started at around 50%, and am down to somewhere between 26% and 31% (the former with calipers, latter with scale).  I want to do an official test and find out metabolism for more information.

I initially was aiming more for a pants size of 10.  Right now I'm in a 12, but I have the excess belly skin, so without it, I'd be at 10 or an 8.  I'm also very confused!  I'm focusing on eating really healthy (everything possible local and grass fed, and tons of veggies).  I've been trying out different things, including intermittent fasting and cheat days to see what works.  I felt the same way about being far enough away from 200 - I seem to be in that space now.  I'm moving up and down between about 191 and 195, and believe over time I'll move down more, just slowly.

Edit to mention: Always been very very big boned.  This weight looks great on me now.  I look slim, and if it weren't for the belly fat I think I'd be perfect.  Unsure if I'm going to consider surgery?
