Yesterday I learned some important lessons.
Lesson 1: Pureed food isn't as protein rich as solid food will be. I don't get enough protein if I skip shakes right now. I must have at least one a day. I spent yesterday dragging and had to take my first nap post-op. I blame the lack of prots.
Lesson 2: I must drink more. Now that I'm not doing so many shakes a day, I'm not getting that liquid, so I need to make sure to increase my actual water consumption. I gained a few ounces and I'm sure it's because I'm not getting enough liquid and see lesson 3.
Lesson 3: My body is not ready for me to decrease Miralax yet, so it's back to a full dose. Pooping helps me weigh less. And feel better too!

How far out are you from surgery?
My surgeon wants me eating 3 meals a day with no snacks, and that's certainly a goal, but I don't think I'll be able to do that until I can actually eat 3 ounces of solid food at a meal. Pureed stuff just doesn't get me there.

I'm about 9 weeks out. I can only eat 1.5-2oz of dense protein in a sitting, over half an hour. Cheese and dairy is a bit easierfor me especially at work so I supplement with those and a protein shake. My NUT also wants me eating a few small meals and a snack a day, but I'm more concerned with developing good habits right now and don't want to stuff myself. I know I'll get there eventually so I don't want to rush the process.
That makes total sense. I'm okay with 2-3 ounces now... but I'm in purees. I know that as soon as I get to solids I'll be back to 1-2 ounces!
Not rushing also seems wise. :D This isn't a race, after all! And, if it is, it's an ultra marathon or triathlon!

I got busy yesterday and I didn't get my workout in, so I'll be making it up today....we have a little bit of sun today but the rain comes back tomorrow :( I wi**** would just be done already!
