S: not sure either 2oz balsamic chicken or greek

D: 4 oz teriyaki loin of pork w/ broccoli 

S: probably tea & maybe a Greek if I need it...

 

W: 6/16.....little behind had an early AM meeting messed me up a bit

Yesterday I learned some important lessons.

Lesson 1: Pureed food isn't as protein rich as solid food will be. I don't get enough protein if I skip shakes right now. I must have at least one a day. I spent yesterday dragging and had to take my first nap post-op. I blame the lack of prots.

Lesson 2: I must drink more. Now that I'm not doing so many shakes a day, I'm not getting that liquid, so I need to make sure to increase my actual water consumption. I gained a few ounces and I'm sure it's because I'm not getting enough liquid and see lesson 3.

Lesson 3: My body is not ready for me to decrease Miralax yet, so it's back to a full dose. Pooping helps me weigh less. And feel better too!

Stats
S: protein shake + 2T Benefiber + 1 dose Miralax
B: 1/2 cup turkey chili at Panera (first meal out post-op!)
L: ???
D: 2-3 ounces meatballs pureed with a little marinara

Vitamins: 1 of 4
Water: working on it
Exercise: 55 minutes on treadmill at 2mph!

I still need protein shakes too to get my daily intake or I feel like I'm eating all day. For me, grazing is a fine line so I'm ok with that. I know in time I'll be able to "eat" all my protein but for now I don't want to push my capacity or compromise my control.

How far out are you from surgery?  

My surgeon wants me eating 3 meals a day with no snacks, and that's certainly a goal, but I don't think I'll be able to do that until I can actually eat 3 ounces of solid food at a meal.   Pureed stuff just doesn't get me there.

I'm about 9 weeks out. I can only eat 1.5-2oz of dense protein in a sitting,  over half an hour. Cheese and dairy is a bit easierfor me especially at work so I supplement with those and a protein shake. My NUT also wants me eating a few small meals and a snack a day,  but I'm more concerned with developing good habits right now and don't want to stuff myself. I know I'll get there eventually so I don't want to rush the process.

That makes total sense.  I'm okay with 2-3 ounces now... but I'm in purees.  I know that as soon as I get to solids I'll be back to 1-2 ounces!  

Not rushing also seems wise.  :D  This isn't a race, after all!  And, if it is, it's an ultra marathon or triathlon!

S-light greek yogurt

D-hmmm. Not sure yet. Probably more chicken and salad.

W-yes...working on it

V-no. Per doc not taking them as all blood work good for now.

E- 1st mile down. 2 more to go. May do some garden work tonight. We are putting it in a new place so I have to dig out some stumps and weeds

Good morning, hope everyone has a great day :)

I got busy yesterday and I didn't get my workout in, so I'll be making it up today....we have a little bit of sun today but the rain comes back tomorrow :( I wi**** would just be done already!

 

B: Coffee w/non dairy creamer....1/2 hr later-1 cup Greek yogurt w/ 1/2 scoop Protein powder

L: 1 cup Chicken chili

S: Cheese stick

D: 4 oz Grilled Mahi, 1/2 cup coleslaw (homemade/light dressing)

S: Protein shake w/1 cup unsweetened almond milk & 1 scoop of Miralax, 1 oz cinnamon almonds

 

X: 35 mins elliptical, 25 mins treadmill & abs

W: Working on it

V: Done
