Passed out - stomach bug

Hi everyone!

well I am on vacation skiing with my family.  This morning I woke up feeling sick.  It kept getting worse and worse until we were all the way on the other side of the mountain.  I lost my chike shake halfway down a run.  My parents skied me back so I could rest in the hotel.  When they got back, I heard them and my son knocking.  I got up to go let them in and the next thing I know I was sleeping on the floor.  My parents took my son into their room, but it was the weirdest thing.

i have to travel tomorrow - 4 hour drive and 4 hour flight, so am hoping to keep it together.  Luckily I won't have to do the driving.  I think this is probably dehydration, but everything just keeps going through me.

Any advice?

Thanks!

Oh, dear! I hope it is just dehydration from a virus. Try to sip as much water as you can. Good luck with the traveling. ((HUGS))

I passed out once early on, it was either dehydration or my blood pressure got too low - I stopped taking the pills shortly after that, but I was still on them at the time.  First time i ever passed out, so I thought it was funny especially when the dogs ran over and licked me awake.

If you're on BP meds, check your BP.  If you don't have your own monitor, stop by a pharmacy or Walmart - they all seem to have those machines these days.

Super scary! I agree with the others to make sure your BP meds are on par. I hope it doesn't happen again! Be careful out there on those slopes superwoman! ;)

Thanks guys!  I'm feeling so much better today.  I tend to have low blood pressure so I think that with the dehydration was the problem.
