taking time to smell the roses
I realize that I'm only 13 days post-op, however, I also realize that while we have one big goal ahead of us, it is important to me to reflect along my journey. Through the miracle of modern medicine, sheer willpower, smaller stomach, etc, I have lost 31 lbs since I started this process. At 249lbs, this the lightest I have weighed in 11 years. No matter how slow or fast the scale moves, its just one indicator of how my health is improving. On the liquid diet I'm consuming neglible amounts of sugar & cholesterol, two killers. My levels are already dropping, I'm becoming healthier as we speak! I'm not claiming victory in this war, but I feel like I won my first battle of MANY more to come. Its a good start!
Your upbeat attitude is lovely to see. I'm glad you are feeling optimistic. And I can assure you, the best is yet to come!
best wishes,
Carol
